MyThree Boys
Thursday night I had the unique opportunity for a mother of three very young boys - I got to spend a little time with each of them individually before they went to bed. Max fell asleep at 6pm and I couldn't get the poor exhausted boy to wake-up. That day, Gove and Max had gotten new toys for good behavior and Gove and I spent some time playing after Max was asleep. Gove is quite the lego builder and swelled with pride when I allowed him to take pictures of his lego creations. He also took pictures of the Batman shooter Max got. He then set up his storm troopers and "walker" on the table and we tried to shoot them off with the Batman toy. It was great! I got him settled in bed, then got James' bath out and sat and talked to him and took pictures of his cute baby-flabby bum. He relaxed in the tub and we smiled and cooed at each other. He is the sweetest, most expressive baby. He loves time alone with me, so he ended his night happily. After he was settled in bed, out came Max with a smile saying, "Mama, it got dark outside!" How can a mom be upset when such a happy boy wakes up? He was too tired to eat before he fell asleep, so he woke hungry. I made him a little dinner, but he really just wanted some chips, so he had a delicious dinner of chips and a roll, finished with some mango. After he ate, we sat on the sofa and talked and watched television. After a couple of hours, he showed signs of sleep. I kissed him, hugged him and took him to bed where he fell happily asleep. After a long night, I then fell into bed tired and happy.
