Homestead

We loved the Homestead in Midway. It was the last leg of our journey and our official resting place. We wish we could be snow-birds and live here in the summer time. Alas, you know what they say, "You can't win if you don't play!" So, until we strike it rich, we'll settle for visiting. The weather was the best, the scenery was beautiful and the pace terrific. Nolan and the boys enjoyed swimming in the heated pools and James and I enjoyed napping. Ahhh serenity.

They have a restaurant at the Homestead, it was great. We finally found a way to make James happy while being tortured by watching others eat - let him sit in a highchair and chew on the table. Not sanitary, but sane-itary. Hahahaha

Nolan and the boys inside the Homestead Crater. That kid in the background would not move, so he is now officially one of "the boys."

Nolan had the bright idea to sit James down at the edge of the flower garden to get his picture in front of the flowers. As soon as the camera was readied, he face-planted in the soil. Okay it was me, but James did forgive me, and Nolan did take this picture as evidence of my phenominal parenting. I am publishing it on the blog as pennance.

The Homestead wishes their gardens could always look this beautiful!

Aw, blaming it on Nolan : ) James is so cute no matter what. He just makes me smile. Was this in Utah ? I bet it was a nice trip. Much nicer weather than here. Stupid Arizona !
