Today was Gove's first day of school. I guess I should say, first day of preschool. He was so excited! He has been waiting for weeks for "his school" to start. When I wake Gove up in the morning, he usually cries and is mad and tells me he is still sleeping. This morning I went in and sat on the edge of the bed and said quietly, "You need to get up and get ready for school." His eyes popped open and he got a big grin on his face and said, "Get my clothes on, I gotta go to school!" I told him he needed to eat breakfast first, so he climbed up to the table, took two bites and said, "I took two bites, let's go!" He was made to eat more and drink his milk and of course get his clothes on before he was actually able to get out the door. I was able to get him to stand still long enough to get a few pictures. He happily headed to "his school" and barely paused to again get his picture taken and kiss me goodbye. After school, he went with Kellie, Karson and I to a celebratory lunch at Quiznos. He had a great first day and can't wait to go back. I wonder how he actually did because he said they drew a picture of himself today, but he didn't do a good job, that he wanted to play with the monster trucks and that his teachers were Miss Heidi (true) and Miss Lady (huh?). Max was happy when Gove got home - he was very confused when I came home after dropping Gove off and Gove was not with me. He kept going out into the garage and yelling, "Dovie! Tum on Dovie!" Oh Max, Dovie is big now. He goes to school!
