More Cabin Pics

Here are some more pictures of our trip to the mountains.The first picture is of Nolan, Gove and Max on the big rock that sat in the creek. We were so sad when we hiked down into the ravine and found that the creek had dried up. It has been years since I have hiked down there and it seems the creek dried up long ago. When I was a kid, we used to hike down the steep hill with my grandma, take our shoes off, skip around in the shallow water, and finally make our way up to this rock to watch the water cascade around us. My grandma is no longer able to hike down the ravine, but she followed us in her truck to the point where we started to hike down and then drove around the mountain and was there waiting for us when we got to the road. My boys were very happy to see granny because they were tired and did not want to walk back to the cabin. I know my grandma would have liked to have hiked down with us, but driving us was the next best thing.
