Sheryl Crow Concert

Last night Nolan and I went with my mom and Heather to the Sheryl Crow Concert at the State Fair. We purchased reserved seats and actually had great seats for the show. Of course, we did have to go to the fair in order to get into the concert. There is nothing quite like the fair - you know a great place where you can see a mother pushing her baby in a stroller with one hand and drinking a beer with the other! Anyway, like I said our seat were great, but would have been better of the "staff" guy wasn't pacing in front of us throughout most of the concert. Something strange happens to me at concerts, I don't know if it's the fact that my nerves are basically going haywire, but I'm very easily excitable. This big staff guy was irritating me to no end. I finally got up and spoke with the staff guy with a headset when he passed by (he had a headset which must mean he was the boss). I angrily informed him that we came to watch the concert, not that dumb guy. To which he replied that he was just doing his job and could not move because he was monitoring the area for crime. Yeah right - he was watching the concert! I then told him that the man needed to be in an inconspicuous place and he had the guy move a little. We finally gave up and watched the giant screen above the stage when he got in our way. We also got a kick out of the people watching. We all enjoyed the "Relief Society Sisters" and Nolan had more fun watching a drunk dude dancing like an idiot. He kept turning to me and giving me a commentary on what was going on with him. He even took a video, but it turned out completely black. He, unfortunately did not get any stills of his entertainer! All-in-all it was a fun night.

Sheryl on stage. She puts on a great show, but the sound system wasn't great in the old Colosseum. We all left feeling like we had cotton balls in our loudly ringing ears.

More pics of the show

We called these rockin' women the "Relief Society Sisters"

Did you see that Heather had a picture of the R.S. sister on her blog too? That was a fun night with you and Nolan. I have never seen Nolan dance and be so wild! MOM

I can't believe you went to her concert! I love Sheryl Crow! I should think to do things like that more often. It looks like the crowd surpassed her entertainment though. Too funny! And, by the way, I admire your peach canning skills... I plan on attempting that someday, I am only slightly afraid explosions and am not quite sure I could accomplish canning without one... but, I think you have inspired me. Your kids are beyond crazy cute! Have a good one!
