Sticky Fingers

This boy has some sticky fingers...

When he was a little one... well littler one, we would joke that he was a sloth. He moved very slowly, but had sticky fingers and an iron grip and got what he wanted! Karson was always so much faster than Gove, but little one year old Karson's speed was no match for Gove's timed and slow reaction. Gove would apprise the situation, slowly walk toward Karson, reach out his sticky little sloth hand and by the time Gove passed Karson, Gove had the toy and Karson didn't know what hit him! If Gove couldn't get the toy that way, he would use his iron grip and wrestle Karson to the ground and get it that way. Gove stickly little fingers used to be funny and cute, but now they just get him into trouble. Take for example this past Sunday in church:

It was Poineer Day weekend, so all of the primary kids got up and sang a pioneer song. They were very cute. Gove, Karson and Max stood like perfect angels, but did not sing. (Except when they sang Hosanna, Hosanna - during that part Max was louder than the whole primary combined) So, they finish their song and I see a little hand slowly moving up toward the microphone. Then said hand slowly started pulling the mic down. Nolan and I held out breath, knowing full well who that slow hand belonged to. Then we heard a quick blow into the microphone and saw a smiling Gove move slowly off the stage! Well, if that wasn't bad enough, Max followed Gove with a couple more even louder blows into the microphone before the bishop got up and "helped" him off the stand. (Don't worry, Gove got a good talking to and some consequences.) Naughty little sloth! So, for those of you who lament over your fast moving little bunnies, the slow ones are just as bad!
