Hmmm....... Maybe I do like to spite you, because I already uploaded it to my Netflix, streamed it to my television and watched it! Okay, so I loved the movie. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in what they feed their families. It was incredibly well done and even well balanced. I realize that I am a person who does not eat meat for the exact reasons discussed in this documentary, but I was in major need of enlightenment in other areas. From chicken to beef to corn to soybeans, it's all connected! Why did we let this happen? Really, I mean, c'mon! This documentary does not leave you feeling helpless and frustrated. It is empowering! Anyway, watch it, it was great. If you have a Netflix account, you can watch it instantly for free. After you watch it, go out and vote! (You'll get that after you watch it!) YOU will like this movie, Jess. Really, really. Smart educated mothers like you are the exact people who can change the world!
P.S. I love you:)

I guess I will have to actually watch it now. What I want to know is if you will change any of your eating habits after watching. I'm mostly afraid to watch it because I'm quite sure I will not have the ability to make changes that I will feel compelled to make after watching. I'm way too lazy. And you, my dear, are way too funny. Love you too. ;)
Still not watching it... (my therapist won't let me--LOL) But I love you, Kristina. :)
I didn't know you were a vegetarian. That's 3 people I know that have switched over. Sounds like there are changes being made in the way people think about food.
Yes Jessica, I will change some of my habits. That's the great thing, it doesn't feel too daunting. I already don't eat chicken, beef or pork. I have gotten lazy (and cheap)about making sure I only buy free range, grass fed meat for my family, but I will be changing that. I recently stopped eating farmed fish. Only wild-caught salmon for the most part. I only buy RBST free milk for my big boys and for my baby who drinks so much milk, only organic. Only organic, free range eggs. I shop mainly at Trader Joe's or Sprouts where I can get things that are not the big brands. What I really want to know is what are the big brands masquerading as these days? I will never, ever, ever buy Tyson after watching this. I think I spend more money on food than most, but to me it is worth it. As far as the soybean thing goes, that one will be hard, but I will try. I will also start looking at labels for corn info. Anyway, I am the laziest of the lazy and if I can make small changes, anyone can! Heather, don't watch it if your therapist says not to - it could make ya crazy like me:0:) Yes, Amy - I've been a fish-eating vegetarian since I was 18. Not a fan of meat, but I will taste organic, free-range beef or a good hot dog (crazy, right?)
